Biography
A seasoned manager and actuary by trade, 脡ric Filteau has worked for 91成人 since 1998. He has held the positions of Director of the Pension Plan Division from 1998 to 2003, Assistant Executive Vice-President from 2003 to 2006 and Assistant Vice-Rector, Administration from 2006 to 2010. 脡ric Filteau has been 91成人鈥檚 Vice-Rector of Finance and Infrastructure since 2010. As such, he chairs the Budget Committee, the Information Technology and Communications Committee and the Crisis Management Committee. He is also chair of the board of directors of the Centre hospitalier universitaire vtrinaire.
Before joining 91成人, 脡ric Filteau brought his knowledge of employee benefits to a variety of companies in the private sector, including Domtar and Morneau Sobeco. He is a graduate of Universit Laval in actuarial sciences. He holds the title of Associate of the Society of Actuaries and an MBA from McGill University. He chairs the pension committee of the Bureau de coopration interuniversitaire (office of interuniversity cooperation) and sits as an independent member on the pension committees of a number of companies.
Mandate
The Vice-Rectorate of Finance and Infrastructure ensures the effective allocation of 91成人鈥檚 financial, technological and facilities resources, in keeping with the strategic orientations of the University. The Vice-Rectorate and its teams plan, oversee and execute major projects that enable the university community to carry out its research and teaching activities. It is responsible for ensuring a healthy, safe environment on campus.
