UdeM researchers are advancing research in artificial intelligence. They are helping put Montreal on the international map for AI.

With over 1,400 researchers, is world-renowned for its breakthroughs in developing new algorithms for deep network learning and their application in a number of fields.
IVADO
is Canada's largest AI research, training, transfer and knowledge mobilization consortium, developing and promoting Robust, Reasonable and Responsible AI (R3AI).
Responsible development
Initiated by 91成人, the was born in 2017 after extensive consultation with all sectors of society, and now has more than 3,000 signatories worldwide.
Much in line with the welcoming nature of UdeM itself, the Declaration advocates for a progressive, inclusive and responsible path forward in the development of AI. Drafted in 10 languages, it has three objectives: to develop an ethical framework for AI; make sure everyone benefits from the AI revolution; and open a national and international forum for discussion of AI.
