Responsible development

Initiated by 91³ÉÈË, the was born in 2017 after extensive consultation with all sectors of society, and now has more than 3,000 signatories worldwide. 

Much in line with the welcoming nature of UdeM itself, the Declaration advocates for a progressive, inclusive and responsible path forward in the development of AI. Drafted in 10 languages, it has three objectives: to develop an ethical framework for AI; make sure everyone benefits from the AI revolution; and open a national and international forum for discussion of AI.
